Radio NABA Announces the “STĪGAS” Photo Contest
Radio NABA has announced the “STĪGAS” photo contest, inviting photographers and photography enthusiasts to submit their interpretations of the theme by November 5. Twenty-four photographs will be selected for the contest finals, which will form the traveling exhibition “24x24.”
The contest is open to participants of all ages, regardless of professional experience. Each participant may submit one or two photographs.
The theme “STRINGS” leaves ample room for the photographer’s interpretation—ranging from a literal depiction of strings to associations with sound, music, mutual connections, tension, movement, or invisible connections between people and events.
Radio NABA will particularly value works created specifically for the contest and not previously exhibited publicly.
Submission Requirements
Submitted photographs must have a minimum size of 3000 × 2000 pixels at a resolution of 150 dpi.
Each entry must also be accompanied by a description that helps explain the artist’s concept and interpretation of the chosen theme.
The jury will evaluate the photographs based on artistic and technical quality, the concept behind the work, and its relevance to the contest theme.
24 Works in the Traveling Exhibition
From the submitted works, the jury will select 24 photographs to be included in the traveling exhibition “24x24.”
The creators of the three best photographs will receive additional prizes. The information published by the contest organizers does not currently specify the exact list of prizes.
A “Viewers’ Choice” award will also be determined through voting on the LSM.lv website.
The contest results are scheduled to be announced on November 12.
